Pyongyang: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperative relations with Russia during a meeting with Russia's visiting natural resources minister, as reported by state media on Tuesday. Kim advocated for a "more extensive and diversified" approach to promoting bilateral ties between the two nations. According to Yonhap News Agency, the meeting took place with Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Alexander Kozlov, who was in North Korea leading a government delegation for the 11th meeting of the intergovernmental committee focused on cooperation in trade, economy, science, and technology. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) highlighted Kim's appreciation for the strengthened solidarity and cooperation between the two countries, which have deepened across various sectors following a new treaty. During the discussions, Kim emphasized the necessity of propelling mutual prosperity and development by further promoting intergovernmental trade, economic, scien tific, and technological exchanges and cooperation. He underscored the need for a broader and more varied approach to these collaborations.
