Seoul: The LG Twins rallied from a six-run deficit to secure a 6-6 tie against the Lotte Giants at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO). Despite the Giants' attempts, they were denied their first win in 12 games.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Twins, trailing 6-0 after five innings, managed to score four times in the bottom of the sixth inning and twice more in the bottom of the seventh, thrilling the sellout crowd of 23,750. The Twins missed two opportunities to clinch the win in extra innings, leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th and a runner at second in the bottom of the 11th.
The Twins maintain their lead in the KBO standings with a record of 70-43-3, while the Giants, with 10 losses and two ties in their past 12 games, sit in fourth place at 58-55-5. The Giants initially took the lead with two runs in the top of the first inning, marking the first time in 14 games they scored first.
A series of errors and strategic plays allowed the Giants to extend their lead, including rookie Lee Ho-jun's first career home run. However, the Twins mounted a comeback with significant contributions from Oh Ji-hwan and Gu Bon-hyeok, among others.
The game remained tense as both teams missed crucial scoring opportunities, culminating in a tie after an intense four-hour match.
