Munich: Hyundai Motor Co. on Tuesday unveiled a new compact electric vehicle (EV) concept model under the automaker's Ioniq line at IAA Mobility 2025, Europe's largest mobility trade show under way in Germany.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the model, named Concept Three, made its debut at the biennial auto exhibition in Munich, as the South Korean auto giant seeks to expand its EV lineup into more smaller segments, Hyundai Motor said in a press release. With the debut of the Concept Three, Hyundai plans to extend the Ioniq line to cover compact vehicles as well.

The dynamic exterior of the Concept Three reflects Hyundai's design philosophy, named Art of Steel, which highlights the natural elasticity and refined beauty of metal. The new design direction was first applied to the Hyundai Motor's Initium hydrogen-powered concept car revealed last year.

Inside, Hyundai has introduced a "Bring Your Own Lifestyle" (BYOL) widget feature on the dashboard, allowing drivers to easily access and customize vehicle functions according to personal preferences. The company said it chose Europe as the venue for the global debut, noting the region's fast transition to electrification and strong demand for small hatchback models.

At the exhibition, Hyundai Motor has set up a 580-square-meter booth featuring a total of seven EVs on display, including the Concept Three, other models of the Ioniq line, as well as the Kona Electric and the Casper Electric Cross.
