Hyundai Motor Unveils 2027 Ioniq 5 EV with New Safety Features and Competitive Pricing

Seoul: Hyundai Motor Co. announced the launch of its 2027 Ioniq 5 electric vehicle (EV) in South Korea, emphasizing enhanced safety features and improved price competitiveness.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the new 2027 Ioniq 5 offers a reorganized trim lineup for the Long Range standard model, consisting of five distinct options: E-Lite, Modern, Premium, Inspiration, and N Line. Meanwhile, the Standard model has been streamlined into a single trim, the E-Value+.

Hyundai Motor has strategically priced the 2027 Ioniq 5 lineup lower than its predecessor to bolster its position in the competitive EV market. The price range for the new models is set between 47.35 million won and 61.5 million won (US$30,992-$40,253).

The Modern trim, which incorporates optimized specifications from the former Exclusive trim, is available at a price 1.6 million won lower than its previous version. Additionally, the Premium trim, an evolution of the Prestige trim with an updated feature package, is priced 900,000 won lower, further illustrating Hyundai's commitment to providing value in the EV sector.
