Seoul: Hyundai Motor Group is actively seeking global partnerships to accelerate the development and commercialization of autonomous driving technologies, aiming to expand its presence in the rapidly evolving mobility market, a senior company official stated.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Park Min-woo, president of Hyundai Motor Group's Advanced Platform Division and CEO of 42dot, highlighted the company's strategic approach during an interview series. Park emphasized that the future will be determined not just by innovation, but by who can bring technology to market with speed, safety, and reliability, ultimately gaining public trust.
Park underscored the necessity of collaboration with global partners to expedite the commercialization process while continuing to enhance the group's proprietary technologies. He stated the importance of building global partnerships to reduce time-to-market and advancing Hyundai Motor Group's autonomous driving model by utilizing extensive driving data amassed through these partnerships.
As Hyundai Motor Group progresses towards software-defined vehicles (SDVs), Park pointed out that closer integration between hardware and software across various business domains will be crucial. Furthermore, he identified robotics as a fundamental aspect of the group's long-term mobility strategy, linking it closely to autonomous driving, Physical AI, and the strategic future direction of the group.
