Seoul: Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung and other South Korean business leaders will take part in the third Trilateral Executive Dialogue (TED) among South Korea, the United States, and Japan this week, industry sources said Monday. Top business leaders from the three nations are expected to discuss measures to promote mutual economic growth and seek solutions to complex global challenges during the two-day meeting to be held in Japan from Tuesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the TED forum is designed to bring together political and business leaders from the three countries to explore opportunities for democratic and economic prosperity and to strengthen cooperation on shared interests in economic growth and national security. Hyundai Motor Group has financially supported the event since last year.

Other South Korean participants reportedly include Hyosung Group Chairman Cho Hyun-joon, LG Chem Ltd. Vice Chairman Shin Hak-cheol, and Hanwha Ocean Co. President Jung In-sub. Samsung Electronics Co. Chairman Lee Jae-yong, who did not attend last year's event, is reportedly considering joining this year's session. The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), South Korea's leading business lobby, is also scheduled to participate as a counterpart to the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren).
