Hyundai Motor and Ulsan City Collaborate to Create Hydrogen Ecosystem.

Ulsan: Hyundai Motor Co. has entered into a partnership with Ulsan metropolitan city to develop a municipal ecosystem centered on clean hydrogen energy in South Korea's southeastern industrial region. According to Yonhap News Agency, the collaboration is formalized through a memorandum of understanding between Hyundai and Ulsan's city government. The partnership focuses on the development and application of hydrogen technology across the city's value chain, encompassing production and transportation sectors. A key aspect of this initiative is the expansion of hydrogen-powered mobility solutions, including tractors and forklifts. The partnership also includes plans to develop hydrogen cargo tractors, with pilot vehicles set to operate on various logistics routes originating from Ulsan. Hyundai Motor's co-CEO, Lee Dong-seock, expressed the company's goal to build a sustainable ecosystem powered by hydrogen energy, indicating a move towards establishing a comprehensive hydrogen society.
