Seoul: Hyundai Engineering and Construction (E and C) Co. on Wednesday reported its 2025 net profit of 559.1 billion won (US$384.9 million), swinging from a loss of 766.2 billion won a year earlier. Operating income for the year was 653 billion, compared with a loss of 1.26 trillion won from the previous year, the company said in a regulatory filing. Annual sales fell 4.9 percent to 31.06 trillion won.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai E and C's shift to profitability in 2025 marks a significant turnaround from the previous year. The company had faced considerable challenges, resulting in substantial financial losses. However, the latest figures indicate a positive change in its financial health, with both net profit and operating income showing notable improvements. Despite a slight decline in annual sales, the overall financial recovery reflects Hyundai E and C's efforts to stabilize and enhance its business operations.
