Seoul: Hyundai Department Store Co. on Wednesday reported its fourth-quarter net loss of 48.6 billion won (US$33.4 million), turning from a profit of 45.5 billion won a year earlier. Operating profit for the October-December period was 106.2 billion won, down 1.4 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Sales fell 11.4 percent to 1.04 trillion won.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the financial report highlights a significant shift in Hyundai Department Store's financial performance compared to the same period last year. The company's net loss marks a downturn from the previous year's profit, with operating profits showing a slight decline.
