‘Filing for Love’ Blends Workplace Audits with Romance

Seoul: TvN's upcoming romantic comedy "Filing for Love" introduces viewers to the intriguing world of workplace conduct audits, combining familiar office scenarios with romance and humor, its producer revealed. According to Yonhap News Agency, producer Lee Su-hyun shared insights during an online press conference, emphasizing that while the term 'audit' might imply a conventional office setting, the series explores themes ranging from romantic entanglements to workplace bullying, all wrapped in a warm comedic tone.

Lee explained that the series, which combines elements of thrillers, comedies, and romance, aims to maintain a balance among these genres while ensuring it remains accessible for viewers. At its romantic core, the narrative follows two lead characters whose relationship subtly intensifies as they delve into each case.

Shin Hye-sun, known for her role in "The Art of Sarah," stars as In-ah, the assertive leader of the audit team, whose mysterious past adds depth to her character. She accepted the role to transition away from the somber atmosphere of her previous Netflix series, expressing a desire for a lighter, more upbeat project.

Opposite Shin, Gong Myoung takes on the role of Ki-jun, a former team ace sidelined to investigating office misconduct, under In-ah's leadership. Gong highlighted his character's appealing traits and the dynamic chemistry with Shin as key factors in his involvement.

In addition to the central duo, the series features Kim Jae-wook and Hong Hwa-yeon, who portray a secondary romantic storyline involving the company's vice chairman and his secretary. A notable shift in the relationship dynamics, as highlighted by the producer, serves as a pivotal element of the show.

Crafted by writer Yeo Eun-ho, who previously co-wrote "Crash Course in Romance," and series creator Yang Hee-seung, "Filing for Love" is a 12-part series scheduled to debut this Saturday.
