Seoul: South Korea's exports surged 53.9 percent year-on-year in the first 10 days of July, data revealed on Monday. Outbound shipments hit US$29.8 billion during the July 1-10 period, a significant increase from $19.3 billion recorded in the same timeframe last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Customs Service provided data showing that imports also rose by 17.4 percent on-year, amounting to $23.5 billion over the cited period. This led to a trade surplus of $6.4 billion, as outlined in the latest findings.
