A digital exhibition entitled ‘Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly): Historical and legal evidence’, and a book introduction event are being organised at Hai Xuan high school in Hai Hau district in the northern province of Nam Dinh on October 24-25. The exhibition focuses on five main themes: ancient documents, ancient maps of Vietnam, Hoang Sa and Truong Sa on Western maps, Hoang Sa and Truong Sa on Chinese and Western maps; Hoang Sa and Truong Sa during the French colonial period and before 1975; and images of Vietnam’s sea and islands from 1975 to present. On the same days, a similar exhibition is also taking in the southernmost province of Ca Mau, featuring 40 images on Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, and 21 images of sovereignty rocks provided by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
