Seoul: Former President Moon Jae-in's daughter, Moon Da-hye, has been referred to the prosecution on charges of drunk driving, police announced on Tuesday. The incident occurred in Seoul's Itaewon district, where Moon allegedly collided with a taxi while under the influence of alcohol. According to Yonhap News Agency, the Seoul Yongsan Police Station reported that Moon Da-hye's blood alcohol concentration was recorded at 0.14 percent, significantly surpassing the legal limit of 0.08 percent, which warrants the revocation of a driver's license. The case has been forwarded to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors Office, although Moon has not been physically detained. During a police interrogation on Monday, Moon Da-hye reportedly confessed to most of the charges brought against her. Initially, the police considered charging her with dangerous driving resulting in injury. However, they ultimately decided to proceed with charges of drunk driving, as outlined in the Road Traffic Act, according to officials.
