Seoul: Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of K-pop label ADOR, declared her resignation from the company's board of directors and her departure from the label on Wednesday. Min, who had been re-elected to the board just last month, also announced her intention to take legal action against Hybe, ADOR's parent company, for allegedly violating the terms of its contract with her. According to Yonhap News Agency, Min was removed from her CEO position at ADOR in August following months of internal conflict. The discord centered around accusations that Min sought to exert control over ADOR and its leading act, NewJeans. While Min has refuted these allegations and accused Hybe of conducting illegal inspections, ADOR's board attempted to reach a compromise by re-electing her as an internal director in October, though not reinstating her as CEO. Her new term commenced on November 2. Min has disputed this decision, asserting that her reinstatement should include the CEO position. In an effort to reclaim her role, Min filed a n injunction in September demanding her reappointment to the top post, but the Seoul Central District Court dismissed her application last month. On Wednesday, Min described her prolonged dispute with Hybe as "hellish" and emphasized her adherence to the contractual terms. In her statement, Min expressed her frustration, stating, "Hybe has not yet acknowledged its wrongdoing and shows no signs of changing. I have decided that putting in any more effort was a waste of time." Despite the ongoing conflict, Min urged her fans to continue supporting her endeavors within the K-pop industry, indicating her intent to remain active in the field. The situation has also impacted NewJeans, who last week threatened to leave ADOR if Min was not reinstated as CEO. In response, ADOR expressed regret over Min's "unilateral notification of resignation" and reiterated its commitment to supporting NewJeans' growth and development.
