Seoul: South Korean bond yields have experienced a decline across several terms as reported on May 26, 2026. The changes in yields indicate a shift in the financial landscape for government and corporate bonds.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-year Treasury Bond yield decreased by 1.7 basis points, moving from 3.161% to 3.144%. The 2-year Treasury Bond yield saw a more pronounced decline, dropping by 6.0 basis points to 3.527% from the previous session's 3.587%. Similarly, the 3-year Treasury Bond yield fell by 7.2 basis points, now standing at 3.664%, down from 3.736%.
The 10-year Treasury Bond yield also experienced a decrease, down 5.5 basis points, reaching 4.073% from 4.128%. In the corporate sector, the 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bond yield decreased by 5.1 basis points, now at 3.557% compared to 3.608%. Additionally, the 3-year Corporate Bond (AA-) yield declined by 6.6 basis points, adjusting to 4.295% from 4.361%.
On the other hand, the 91-day Certificate of Deposit yield increased by 3.0 basis points, moving up to 2.840% from the previous session's 2.810%. These changes reflect ongoing market adjustments and investor sentiment in the South Korean bond market.
