Seoul: The music video for BTS member Suga’s song “Haegeum” has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, his agency BigHit Music announced Sunday. This achievement marks the third time a solo music video by Suga has reached this milestone, following the successes of “Agust D” and “Daechwita.”
According to Yonhap News Agency, “Haegeum” serves as the lead track from Suga’s first full-length solo album, “D-Day,” which was released in April of the previous year. The song’s title is a nod to both the traditional Korean string instrument, haegeum, and a Korean term that signifies the lifting of restrictions. The track explores the theme of freedom, focusing on individuals who encounter various limitations and constraints in their everyday lives and societal contexts. The traditional haegeum instrument was incorporated into the music, adding depth to the song’s thematic exploration.
