Incheon: A total of 316 South Korean workers returned home after being detained in a U.S. immigration raid last week, as shown in TV footage yesterday. A chartered plane carrying these workers, along with 14 foreigners, landed at Incheon International Airport, located west of the capital city Seoul, at approximately 3:23 p.m. local time (0623 GMT).
According to Nam News Network, the plane departed from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta roughly 15 hours prior to its arrival in South Korea. This return follows a significant immigration enforcement action in the United States, which involved the detention of numerous foreign workers, including the South Koreans, prompting their repatriation.
