Seoul: Amorepacific Holdings reported a sharp decline in its second-quarter net income, which fell by 90.5 percent to 50.8 billion won (US$36.3 million) compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that despite the significant drop in net profit, its operating profit showed a substantial increase, reaching 80.1 billion won for the quarter compared to 12.2 billion won the previous year. Additionally, Amorepacific Holdings experienced an 8.9 percent rise in sales, totaling 1.09 trillion won.
These financial results highlight the contrasting dynamics within the company's performance, with increased sales and operating profit unable to offset the considerable drop in net income for the quarter.
