Seoul: Senior officials of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will attend a digital training program in South Korea this week, the finance ministry said Monday. The program, which runs through Wednesday, will bring together senior ADB officials, including directors and department heads, to observe how digital and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are applied in industry, the ministry said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, "Digital and AI technologies can play a key role in improving productivity," Choi Ji-young, a senior finance ministry official, said, expressing hope that South Korea's innovation can be widely shared to contribute to the development of ADB member countries.
The South Korean government will also cooperate with the ADB to support AI adoption through stable energy supplies and secure critical mineral supply chains.
