Young Wolf Eludes Authorities for Second Time After Daejeon Zoo Escape

Daejeon: A young wolf named Neukgu, who recently escaped from a zoo in Daejeon, has managed to evade capture for the second time. Officials confirmed that the wolf was spotted for the second time since his escape last week, but he has once again disappeared from sight.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Neukgu was sighted on a small mountain near the Daejeon O-World theme park at 10:43 p.m. on Monday. This prompted firefighting officials to launch an overnight search and capture mission. Efforts to locate Neukgu included the use of a thermal imaging drone to confirm his presence and the strategic placement of traps in the area. Additional police officers were also deployed to assist in the mission.

Despite these efforts, Neukgu appeared to have once again evaded capture by 6:35 a.m. on Tuesday. In response, five military drones have been deployed to conduct a more extensive search for the elusive wolf.

Neukgu's escape from the Daejeon O-World theme park zoo last Wednesday morning has captured widespread media attention and prompted an extensive search operation. His continued evasion remains a significant concern for local authorities and the community.
