Yoon Greeted by Supporters, Opponents Ahead of Court Trial

Seoul: Supporters and opponents of former President Yoon Suk Yeol gathered in front of the Seoul Central District Court on Monday as he arrived to attend his first criminal trial related to his martial law declaration last year. Demonstrators expressed their views through chants and banners, showcasing a divided public sentiment.

According to Yonhap News Agency, around 20 supporters of Yoon were present, waving South Korean and U.S. flags in front of the court's main gate starting at 9 a.m. They chanted slogans such as "Yoon Again" and proclaimed "The president is not guilty," indicating their unwavering support for the former president.

Meanwhile, on the street across from the court's gate, a banner was displayed praising the presiding judge of Yoon's trial. This reflects the anticipation and attention surrounding the proceedings, as both supporters and critics of Yoon closely watch the developments of the trial.
