Xiaomi Launches Flagship Smartphones in South Korea

Seoul: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp. officially launched its flagship mobile phone products in South Korea, marking the start of its business operations in the country. The company held its inaugural press conference in Seoul, where it unveiled two of its latest smartphone models, the Xiaomi 14T and the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Xiaomi intends to gradually introduce a range of products, including smartphones, TVs, wearable devices, and robotic vacuum cleaners, to the South Korean market by February. Jony Wu, head of Xiaomi's Korean branch, stated that Xiaomi's vision of "innovation for everyone" aligns with Korean consumers' preference for high-quality products at reasonable prices.

Xiaomi also clarified that it does not plan to introduce its electric vehicle (EV) in the South Korean market in the near future. The company intends to concentrate its efforts on the Chinese EV market over the next three years.
