WINNER’s Song Min-ho Ordered to Reenlist After Court Ruling

Seoul:Song Min-ho, a member of the K-pop group WINNER, will be required to reenlist in the military following a court's decision. The singer was found guilty of failing to report for his duties during his alternative mandatory military service, as confirmed by the military manpower agency.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Song received a sentence of one year in prison, which has been suspended for two years. This was due to his absence from his designated duty station for a total of 102 days while serving as a social service agent between March 2023 and December 2024. The sentence was issued by the Seoul Western District Court on October 1, and it became definitive as Song chose not to appeal the verdict within the allocated two-week period.

The Military Manpower Administration (MMA) has stated that Song's reenlistment is necessary because the ruling was finalized without an appeal. An official from the MMA mentioned that they intend to review the specifics of Song's reenlistment period and upcoming duty station based on the court's decision, and will notify him of their findings.
