Seoul: A wildfire broke out on Mount Bukhan in Seoul late Saturday, officials said. The fire started at approximately 7:25 p.m. near the temples situated on the mountain within the Jongno Ward of central Seoul, as reported by firefighting authorities.
According to Yonhap News Agency, an official from the forest service stated that the risk of the fire spreading to nearby areas seems low. Firefighters are currently working to extinguish the remaining embers to prevent further damage.
Authorities have announced plans to conduct an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire, ensuring that such incidents can be better managed or prevented in the future.
