Seoul:<Text>

Vice Trade Minister Park Jung-sung met with his Polish counterpart in Seoul to discuss ways to deepen cooperation between South Korea and Poland in supply chains and advanced industries, Park's office said.

According to Yonhap News Agency, in the meeting, Park and Poland's Vice Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Michal Jaros, agreed on the need to expand bilateral cooperation in critical mineral, battery, defense, and other strategic industries amid the restructuring of global supply chains and intensifying technology war among major economies, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources said.

In particular, Park asked the Polish government to expand the use of batteries made by Korean companies in the European nation's energy storage system project, stressing that Seoul is Warsaw's credible energy security partner, the ministry said.

Park also requested Poland's assistance in reflecting South Korean firms' inter ests in the European Union's (EU) push to legislate the Industrial Accelerator Act, aimed at promoting products made in the EU, the ministry added.

"South Korea and Poland have built a stable foundation for cooperation based on mutual trust," Park said in a press release, expressing hope for deeper cooperation in supply chains, advanced technologies, and strategic industries.
