Seoul: The 7th Air Force has commenced the relocation of additional F-16 fighter jets to Osan Air Base as part of the "Super Squadron" formation test, focused on enhancing combat effectiveness, as announced by the U.S. Air Force unit stationed in South Korea.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this relocation marks the first batch among 31 F-16 fighter jets and 1,000 Air Force troops set to be temporarily reassigned to the air base in Pyeongtaek, located 60 kilometers south of Seoul, from Kunsan Air Base. This movement is part of the second phase of the Super Squadron test, as detailed in a release by the unit.

Previously, the first phase of the test involved relocating nine F-16s and approximately 150 airmen from Kunsan Air Base to Osan in October of the previous year. This latest relocation precedes the second stage of the test, which is scheduled to begin in October and continue until October of the following year.
