Seoul: Chaeyoung of K-pop girl group TWICE debuted as a solo artist Friday with her first individual studio album, "Lil Fantasy vol. 1." She became the fourth member of the band to go solo, following Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Chaeyoung expressed that she filled the album with her personal tastes, thoughts, and attitude, describing it as "an album that shows everything that makes up the person Chaeyoung." With the release, she feels like she's unveiling items from a treasure chest that she's been collecting over time. She mentioned, "This is a work I've been slowly preparing for a long time, and I hope many people will listen to it."

"Lil Fantasy vol. 1" includes 10 tracks, featuring the lead track "Shoot (Firecracker)" and "Avocado," which features the Japanese pop band Gliiico. The lead single is noted for its bold aspirations and catchy melody. Chaeyoung explained, "I thought it would be nice if the lead track was a song you could dance to. It contains the message, 'Let's set off firecrackers together and enjoy the party,' so it's also a song that celebrates the album's release."

Chaeyoung recently participated in the soundtrack for the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," performing "Takedown" with her bandmates Jihyo and Jeongyeon. Last month, TWICE embarked on a new world tour following the release of their fourth full-length album, "This Is For." The group headlined Lollapalooza Chicago, performing hits like "Dance the Night Away" and "What Is Love?" at Grant Park.

Chaeyoung reflected on these experiences by stating, "Both participating in 'Takedown' and performing at Lollapalooza Chicago were new challenges and great opportunities. It was so rewarding to see such a huge reaction from the fans, and I feel so lucky to be able to show them my first solo album now."
