Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on August 29 chaired a meeting of the personnel sub-committee of the 14th National Party Congress and the steering committee for the personnel planning of the 14th Party Central Committee, its Politburo, and its Secretariat for the 2026-2031 tenure. At the meeting, members of the two agencies discussed and gave opinions on a draft report summarising the 13th Party Central Committee's personnel affairs, and the personnel directions for the 14th Party Central Committee; as well as on the proposal for the personnel planning of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the 14th Party Central Committee.
