The Senate has approved "Prasitsak Meelap", Deputy President of the Supreme Administrative Court, to hold the position of President of the Supreme Administrative Court. In the 9th Senate meeting of the first ordinary session of the year, it was resolved to approve Mr. Prasitsak Meelarp, ??Vice President of the Supreme Administrative Court, to hold the position of President of the Supreme Administrative Court. The next step is for the Prime Minister to submit the matter to His Majesty for royal approval to appoint him. This is in accordance with Section 15/1, paragraph one of the Administrative Court Establishment Act and Administrative Court Procedures Act B.E. 2542, which was amended by the Administrative Court Establishment Act and Administrative Court Procedures Act (No. 9) B.E. 2560. The case arose from the meeting of the Administrative Court Judicial Commission (AJC) No. 323-5/2567 on 15 May 2567, which resolved by a majority vote to select Mr. Prasitsak Meelap, Vice President of the Supreme Administr ative Court, to hold the position of President of the Supreme Administrative Court from 1 October 2567 onwards, as Mr. Worapot Wisarutphich, the current President of the Supreme Administrative Court, has reached the age of 70 and will be out of office on 1 October 2567, in accordance with Section 21, paragraph one (3) in conjunction with Section 31, paragraph three of the Administrative Court Establishment Act and Administrative Case Procedures B.E. 2542. Mr. Prasitsak Meelap graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Ramkhamhaeng University, a Master of Political Science (Public Administration) from Thammasat University, a Barrister-at-Law from the Council of Legal Education's Legal Education Institute, and received a certificate of training in the Rule of Law for Democracy (NTD) course, Class 2, from the Constitutional Court.
