S. Korean Treasury Bond Yields See Marginal Decline Across the Board

Seoul: South Korean bond yields experienced slight declines on the morning of August 3, 2026, reflecting a modest shift in the financial market. The yields for various treasury bonds, including the 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, and 10-year treasury bonds, all recorded minor decreases compared to the previous session.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-year treasury bond yield fell by 0.4 basis points to 3.361% from the previous session's 3.365%. The 2-year treasury bond yield saw a more noticeable drop of 2.4 basis points, settling at 3.626% compared to 3.650% in the previous session. The 3-year treasury bond yield decreased by 0.8 basis points to 3.750%, down from 3.758%.

The yield for the 10-year treasury bond also showed a slight decline, dropping by 0.2 basis points to 4.259% from the former 4.261%. In addition to treasury bonds, the 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bond (MSB) and the 3-year corporate bond with an AA- rating also experienced reductions. The 2-year MSB yield decreased by 1.0 basis point to 3.650%, while the 3-year corporate bond yield fell by 1.1 basis points to 4.467%.

These changes indicate a minor adjustment in the bond market, impacting yields across different bond categories. The fluctuations in yields reflect ongoing dynamics within the financial market as investors respond to various economic factors.
