According to Yonhap News Agency, the film begins eight years after the tragic "Gyeongju high school student murder case," which not only claimed the life of Gyeong-ju but also led to the suicide of the family's father, who was engulfed in his pursuit of justice for his daughter. Despite the underlying tragedy, the film opens with an unexpectedly upbeat tone, as Ok-sil and her three remaining daughters embark on a road trip to Gyeongju.
The family's journey, aboard a worn-out yellow minibus, is initially driven by a desire for vengeance against Gyeong-ju's murderer. However, their plan falters as they encounter various comedic mishaps, reflecting their clumsy yet well-meaning nature. Director Kim Mi-jo uses this first half of the film to establish the distinct personalities of Ok-sil's daughters: Jang-ju, Young-ju, and Dong-ju.
The film takes a dramatic turn when Sang-hyun, the antagonist played by Byun Yo-han, escapes captivity and poses a threat to the family.
