The House of Representatives ceiling collapsed and toilet water overflowed. “Wilad” took the media on a tour to point out the targets.

Scandal again! Parliament ceiling collapses - toilet water overflows "Wilad" takes media on a tour to point out targets, prepares to collect information to file a complaint with the NACC for urgent investigation Mr. Wilad Chanpitak, former Democrat MP for Bangkok, revealed that he had received a complaint from the parliament staff about the ceiling collapse in the banquet room on the B2 floor of the parliament building. The room had just held a retirement party for parliament officials at the end of September. The building had 100 percent of the parliament construction work delivered since September 4, 2023, and the work was signed on July 4, 2024, but the work was delivered before this incident happened. However, while waiting for the signature, the ceiling fell down in several places, so he wondered why the signature was signed. In addition, the contract stated that it had to be fixed within 15 days, but up until now, 3 months have passed and some areas have not been fixed. Mr. Wilas continued that the mo st frequent incident was water from the wastewater treatment system, or what he called 'toilet water', flowing out and flooding the floor in front of the Civil Servant Savings Cooperative on the B2 floor, causing the escalator to break down and it is expected that the entire escalator will have to be replaced because it cannot be repaired. The water also damaged many documents, so he would like them to investigate who the documents belong to because they are important documents. In addition, there was a case that he had already complained about, which was water seeping from underground up through the gaps of the tiles and pillars of the Parliament building, which required the maid to bring a cloth to wipe and squeeze out the water all day. Therefore, he would like to note that this problem did not have standard waterproof sheets installed like other riverside buildings. However, evidence will be collected to submit to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). The reporter reported that Mr. Wilas led th e media to survey the problematic area, stating that the information received came from the parliament officials and engineers working in the area, with most of them feeling uncomfortable with the problems that had occurred.
