Milan: South Korea claimed a medal in snowboard for the second consecutive day at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics as 18-year-old Yu Seung-eun secured a bronze in the women's big air event. By scoring 171.00 points, Yu became the first South Korean woman to earn an Olympic medal in snowboard, marking a significant achievement for the nation in winter sports.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this bronze medal follows the unexpected silver earned by Kim Sang-kyum in the men's parallel giant slalom on Sunday. Prior to this year's Games, South Korea's only other snowboard medal was a silver by Lee Sang-ho in the men's parallel giant slalom at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games.

In speed skating, Lee Na-hyun placed ninth in the women's 1,000 meters at Milano Speed Skating Stadium with a time of 1:15.76, becoming the first South Korean to finish within the top 10 in this event. Her teammate, Kim Min-sun, ranked 18th with a time of 1:16.24.

The mixed doubles curling team from South Korea faced a setback as Kim Seon-yeong and Jeong Yeong-seok lost their final match to Norway's Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten by 8-5 at Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium. Despite leading 5-2 after five ends, South Korea couldn't hold on and finished the tournament ninth among ten teams, with a 3-6 record.

In figure skating, Hannah Lim and Quan Ye placed 22nd with 64.69 points, missing the chance to perform their free dance after failing to make it into the top 20.
