Los Angeles: “Squid Game” production designer Chae Kyoung-sun won an Art Directors Guild (ADG) Award, the awards’ organizer said Sunday. Chae was honored with the Excellence in Production Design Award in the One Hour Contemporary Single-Camera Series category at the ADG Awards ceremony, which took place at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown on Saturday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Chae received recognition for her exceptional work on Episodes 4 (“Six Legs”) and 6 (“O X”) of the seven-part “Squid Game” Season 2. This achievement marks her second ADG win, following her previous award in 2022 for the series’ outstanding and distinctive visuals that captivated audiences worldwide.

Earlier this month, “Squid Game” Season 2 was also celebrated for its achievements on the international stage, securing the Best Foreign Language Series accolade at the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards. The success of “Squid Game” continues to build momentum as it is set to make a highly anticipated return for its third and final season on June 27.
