Seoul: South Korea's industrial production remained flat from a month earlier in August while retail sales lost ground following two consecutive months of gains, data showed Tuesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, industrial production remained the same last month compared with the previous month, as per the data compiled by Statistics Korea. Retail sales, a gauge of private spending, went down 2.4 percent on-month. Facility investment also fell 1.1 percent in August. Both industrial output and retail sales had gone up for two consecutive months prior to August.
