Seoul: South Korea's exports experienced a significant increase of 44.4 percent year-on-year during the first ten days of February, as revealed by recent data.

According to Yonhap News Agency, outbound shipments reached a total of US$21.39 billion in the period from February 1 to February 10. This is a notable rise compared to the $14.81 billion recorded during the same period last year, based on the data from the Korea Customs Service.

The report also highlighted that imports saw a 21.1 percent increase from the previous year, amounting to $20.74 billion during the same timeframe. This rise in imports, coupled with the surge in exports, has resulted in a trade surplus of $64 million for South Korea in the early days of February.
