South Korean Foreign Ministry Acts to Protect Citizens Amid European Protests

Seoul:The foreign ministry announced on Tuesday that it convened a joint meeting with South Korean diplomatic missions across Europe to address the safety of its citizens amid widespread protests in the region.

According to Yonhap News Agency, officials from eight South Korean diplomatic missions, including those in France, Italy, Spain, and Belgium, participated in the meeting. The discussions focused on monitoring the ongoing situation and implementing measures to ensure the safety of South Koreans residing in Europe.

The protests, which have erupted across various European countries, are largely in response to the escalating cost of living and surging housing prices. The South Korean ministry has instructed its officials to remain vigilant and take appropriate actions to protect its nationals during this period of unrest.
