South Korean Bond Yields Show Varied Movements on December 23, 2025

Seoul: South Korean bond yields exhibited mixed movements across various maturities in the latest trading session. The yields on treasury bonds (TBs) and monetary stabilization bonds (MSBs) saw fluctuations, indicating differing market sentiments for short-term and long-term investments.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the yield on the 1-year treasury bond decreased to 2.553% from the previous session's 2.558%, marking a decline of 0.5 basis points. The 2-year treasury bond yield also fell, dropping 2.1 basis points to 2.802% compared to the prior session's 2.823%. Similarly, the 3-year treasury bond yield saw a decrease of 3.6 basis points, settling at 2.963% from 2.999%.

In contrast, the 10-year treasury bond yield rose by 2.0 basis points, reaching 3.379% from the previous 3.359%. The 2-year monetary stabilization bond yield declined by 2.6 basis points to 2.816%, down from 2.842%. The 3-year corporate bond (AA-) yield slightly decreased by 1.3 basis points, moving from 3.513% to 3.500%. Meanwhile, the 91-day certificate of deposit yield remained unchanged at 2.850%.
