South Korean Bobsleigh Teams Take Final Bows at Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics

Seoul: A pair of four-man bobsleigh teams will be the only South Korean athletes competing on the final day of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. These teams, piloted by Kim Jin-su and Suk Young-jin, will take their last two runs at the Cortina Sliding Centre, located 260 kilometers northeast of Milan. The event is scheduled to commence at 10 a.m.

According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea has previously claimed one Olympic medal in bobsleigh, with a silver medal achieved by Won Yun-jong's team at the 2018 PyeongChang Games. This highlights the significance of today's participation for the South Korean bobsleigh teams as they aim to make their mark in the Olympic history books.

The closing ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics is set to start at 8 p.m. in Verona, approximately 140 kilometers east of Milan. Notably, these Games are recognized as the most geographically dispersed in Olympic history, with the opening ceremony taking place across four different venues. The closing ceremony, however, will occur in Verona, a city that did not host any competitive events.
