South Korea Weather Update: Snow and Sleet Expected Across Major Cities

Seoul: South Korea is set to experience a snowy Tuesday as the weather forecast predicts snow across several major cities.

According to Yonhap News Agency, temperatures will vary with Seoul, Incheon, and Suwon all expecting highs of -2°C and lows of -5°C, accompanied by a 60% chance of snow.

Cheongju and Daejeon are expected to see a higher possibility of snow at 80%, with temperatures slightly warmer than their northern counterparts, reaching highs of 1°C and lows of -3°C and -4°C respectively. Chuncheon, although experiencing similar conditions to Seoul, will be colder with a low of -9°C.

Gangneung is forecasted to have a high of 3°C and a low of -3°C with a 70% chance of snow. Jeonju and Gwangju are predicted to have highs of 2°C and 3°C respectively, both with a 60% chance of snow. Further south in Jeju, sleet is expected with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 2°C and a 70% chance of precipitation.

Meanwhile, Daegu will likely see snow with a 60% chance of precipitation, experiencing temperatures from 3°C during the day to -3°C at night. Busan will deviate from the snowy trend with sunny weather forecasted and only a 20% chance of rain, temperatures ranging from a high of 5°C to a low of 0°C.
