Seoul: South Korea will launch a tabletop exercise this week to address uncertainties in global supply chains and bolster interagency cooperation, the finance ministry said Tuesday. The three-day exercise, which will kick off on Wednesday, is spearheaded by the Ministry of Finance and Economy and aims to assess the crisis response capabilities of relevant ministries while reviewing their coordination systems.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the exercise will involve ministries practicing the identification of a supply chain crisis, implementing respective countermeasures, and drawing up follow-up steps, alongside analyzing problems identified during the process. The finance ministry emphasized that this exercise will provide an opportunity for relevant ministries and organizations to revisit their response systems and continuously address any weaknesses that emerge.
