South Korea Braces for Rainy Weather in Northern Cities While Southern Regions Enjoy Sunshine

Seoul: The weather forecast for Thursday indicates that South Korea will experience varied weather conditions across its major cities, with northern regions expecting rain and southern areas enjoying sunny skies. The forecast anticipates significant rainfall in several northern cities, while southern cities such as Jeju and Busan are set to bask in sunshine.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the capital city of Seoul, along with Incheon and Suwon, is expected to see a high of 28 degrees Celsius with an 80% chance of rain. In the central regions, cities like Cheongju and Daejeon will experience slightly higher temperatures, reaching up to 32 degrees Celsius, with a 60% probability of rainfall. Meanwhile, Chuncheon is also set to have a rainy day with temperatures peaking at 28 degrees Celsius.

In contrast, the southern parts of the country will enjoy sunnier conditions. Gangneung, although expecting a 70% chance of rain, will see temperatures rise to 32 degrees Celsius. Cities like Jeonju and Gwangju will have temperatures soaring to 34 degrees Celsius with a low chance of rain, at 60% and 10% respectively. Jeju and Busan will remain predominantly sunny, with Jeju experiencing highs of 34 degrees Celsius and a mere 10% chance of rain, while Busan will enjoy a completely dry day with temperatures reaching 32 degrees Celsius and no rainfall expected.
