Seoul: SK Chemicals Co. on Thursday announced a net profit of 21.1 billion won (US$15.1 million) for the first quarter, marking a turnaround from a loss of 8.4 billion won in the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the January-March period reached 24.3 billion won, recovering from a previous loss of 12.7 billion won. Additionally, sales increased by 40.9 percent, amounting to 536.6 billion won.
