Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed notable shifts as various companies recorded significant gains and losses. Key players such as Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Heavy Industries experienced substantial increases in their stock prices, reflecting positive investor sentiment.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics' stock price surged by 4,500, closing at 219,000, while Hyundai Heavy Industries saw an impressive rise of 52,000, reaching a closing price of 576,000. These gains highlight the companies' strong market performance and potential growth prospects.
Other companies that recorded upward movements included POSCO Holdings, which increased by 32,000 to 421,500, and Samsung SDI Co., Ltd., which saw a notable rise of 107,000, closing at 645,000. LS Electric and HDKSOE also saw increases of 500 and 14,500, respectively.
On the other hand, some companies faced declines in their stock prices. DB Insurance experienced a decrease of 1,900, ending at 170,700, while Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance dropped by 7,500 to close at 468,000. GC Corp and DN Automotive also saw declines, with their prices falling by 3,700 and 2,450, respectively.
