Significant Declines in Korean Stocks Mark KOSPI 200 Performance.


Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index demonstrated a notable decline across various stocks, with several major companies experiencing significant decreases in their closing prices. Among the most affected was NCsoft, which saw its stock price fall by 34,500, closing at 206,000. HanmiPharm also faced a substantial drop of 8,500, ending at 264,500. Other companies like HYBE and Woori Financial Group recorded declines of 6,400 and 630, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the financial sector was particularly impacted, with Meritz Financial seeing a decrease of 3,600, closing at 100,300, and BNK Financial Group declining by 350, closing at 11,160. DGB Financial Group also experienced a drop, with its stock ending at 8,830, down by 310. KakaoBank’s shares decreased by 1,450, closing at 22,550.

Hanwha Industries witnessed a contrasting trend with a significant increase of 1,900, closing at 37,000. Similarly, SK Square and DOOSAN had notable gains, with increases of 3,800 and 16,000, closing at 78,900 and 222,000,
respectively. DoubleUGames and SD Biosensor also saw upticks, with gains of 800 and 70, closing at 52,900 and 11,230, respectively.

In the industrial sector, KOLON IND faced a decrease of 950, closing at 26,650, and emart’s stock fell by 1,400, closing at 63,900. CJ Logistics and HanjinKAL also recorded declines, with their prices falling by 1,500 and 5,400, respectively, closing at 81,500 and 76,000. Meanwhile, HANILCMT and TaihanElecWire remained unchanged, closing at 14,450 and 11,010, respectively.
