Seoul: Shinsegae Inc., the operator of South Korea's second-largest department store chain, reported a significant decline in its 2025 net income, which fell to 63.5 billion won (US$43.3 million), marking a 66 percent decrease from the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the year stood at 480 billion won, reflecting a slight increase of 0.6 percent from the year before. In contrast, annual sales experienced a growth of 5.5 percent, reaching 6.92 trillion won.
