Seoul: Samsung Electronics Co. has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered portable projector, the Freestyle Plus, ahead of the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show 2026 in the United States. This latest offering promises a bright viewing experience across various environments, showcasing significant improvements over its predecessor in terms of brightness and entertainment features.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Freestyle Plus is designed to naturally adapt to users' lifestyles and movement between spaces, as highlighted by Lee Hun, head of the visual display business at Samsung. One of its notable features is the 3D Auto Keystone, which ensures a flat display even on uneven surfaces like corners. This feature also enhances the viewing experience by analyzing surface colors and patterns for clarity.
Additionally, the projector is equipped with the Vision AI Companion, a generative AI tool that provides users with information such as sports game results and movie recommendations. The Freestyle Plus boasts a brightness of 430 ISO lumens, nearly doubling the brightness of its previous version, aligning with international standards.
Lee emphasized the combination of portability and intelligent AI in the Freestyle Plus, which enhances both the viewing environment and content, offering users a consistent, high-quality experience regardless of location.
