Seoul: Samsung Display Co. announced Wednesday its provision of three types of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels for automotive displays to Zeekr, a luxury electric vehicle (EV) brand in China.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korean company's center information display (CID), passenger information display (PID), and rear seat entertainment (RSE) display are integrated into Zeekr's 9X sport utility vehicle (SUV). The CID and PID are equipped with 16-inch OLED panels that serve as the multimedia and control hub on the dashboard, whereas the 17-inch RSE display, mounted on the vehicle ceiling, features a unique "wing-style sliding screen," developed collaboratively by Samsung Display and Zeekr.
Samsung Display, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., has maintained a partnership with Zeekr, an EV brand operated by Geely Automobile Holdings, since 2024. Choi Yong-seok, an executive director at Samsung Display, emphasized the company's commitment to introducing high-performance products with distinctive value to bolster partnerships with global automakers and to lead the growth of the automotive OLED market.
