Seoul: Samsung C and T Corp., a construction and trading arm of Samsung Group, has announced its fourth-quarter net income of 1.55 trillion won (US$1.1 billion), marking a 137.6 percent increase from the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company reported an operating profit of 822.3 billion won for the October-December period, reflecting a 29.6 percent rise from the previous year. Sales during this period climbed 8.4 percent to reach 10.83 trillion won.

The reported operating profit aligns with the average estimate as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency. However, the estimate for net profit was not available.
