S. Korea’s Protestant Churches Extend Condolences to Nepal Flood Victims

Seoul: South Korea's Protestant churches offered condolences on Friday to those affected by devastating flash floods in Nepal. "We deeply mourn those who have lost their lives and extend our heartfelt sympathies to those who have lost their family members and homes," stated the United Christian Churches of Korea, which represents Protestant churches across the nation.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the organization has engaged with missionaries in nearby areas and plans to collaborate with them and the local Korean community to support restoration efforts. The National Council of Churches in Korea, another leading body of Protestant churches, also shared a statement expressing condolences and highlighting concerns over climate change.

In addition to the Protestant community, South Korea's Catholic and Buddhist communities have also expressed their sympathies for the victims and committed to participating in relief activities.
